Big Thanks to our volunteers

Before the season finishes on 17th September, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers, committee members and Trustees who have helped keep the pool running this year.

Of particular note are the amazing café volunteers who have done an amazing job at keeping the café open, serving ice creams and coffees to happy swimmers and helping the pool raise a bit more money. There’s a lovely atmosphere at the pool and the café is a big part of that special feel. Thank you all.

Thank you also to the plumbers, electricians, handy men & women, cleaners, sweepers, gardeners and behind-the-scenes admin helpers who keep everything running so well. Ashburton is a “community” pool in every sense of the word; run for the community by the community.

We’re immensely lucky to have such a fantastic facility in our time and even more grateful to everyone who keeps it here.

Let’s try to raise that £80,000 to fix the leak and open again in 2024. We can do it!
