New for 2024
Pricing
For general and lane swims we have three ticket prices available: £6, £5 and £4. The tickets are exactly the same apart from the cost. Our message is ‘pay what you can afford’. Under 5s are free, but still need to be booked in.
Swim Pass
Buy a Swim30 (called “class passes”) to buy tickets in bulk and save money. Using a pass brings your admission price down to £3.50 per swim.

We encourage the community to consider how they can support the pool.
If you can pay the higher price, you’re paying what it costs us (almost) and we’re extremely grateful to everyone who chooses this option.
If you swim regularly, are buying for a family or wouldn’t otherwise be able to visit the pool, please choose one of the reduced price tickets.
If you’d like to contribute in other ways, we’re always looking for volunteers to help with a huge variety of things. The pool is run by volunteers and we’re a friendly, energetic bunch. Please get in touch (info@ashburtonpoolcom)

General Swim/ Swim Plus
A 'General Swim' (max 20 swimmers) or ‘General Swim Plus’ (max 40 swimmers) ticket admits one person into our pool for a general swim for one hour. No refund or transfer available.
Under 5s Free. Under 5s go free, but you will need to book them a ticket so that we do not exceed our capacity.
*Your swim will be capped at 1hr when the pool is busy. If the pool is quiet you will be able to stay in the pool for longer and will only be asked to leave the water when the pool is busy. (Coloured bands will be used to track entry times).
*You are welcome to use the café, park and gardens before or after your swim without a time limit - so come and enjoy the café and relax in our lovely gardens!
* Non-swimmers also welcome (no fee although we’d love you to make a donation or buy something from the café
Fun Swim
A 'Fun' (max 40 swimmers) ticket admits one person into our pool for a general swim for one hour. No refund or transfer available. There will be floats and noodles out, plus some background music to add to the atmosphere.
Under 5s Free. Under 5s go free, but you will need to book them a ticket so that we do not exceed our capacity.
*Your swim will be capped at 1hr when the pool is busy. If the pool is quiet you will be able to stay in the pool for longer and will only be asked to leave the water when the pool is busy. (Coloured bands will be used to track entry times).

Adult Only General Swims
We know that some people like to swim or float around in the peace and quiet, without the restriction of lane swimming. This session is for you.
Adults only (over 16). The pool is open, so you can swim up and down, round and round or just float!
Parent and Toddler Swims
Thursdays 9am
A general swim session specifically aimed at smaller children and their family/carers for one hour. The session is capped at 20 swimmers, with two lifeguards on duty. It will feel spacious in the pool because it will be - even on a lovely, sunny day!
Under 5s Free. Under 5s go free, but you will need to book them a ticket so that we do not exceed our capacity.
Our cafe, seating area and green space do not need to be booked and you are welcome to use them after your swim.
30min Quick Dip
Sometimes, 30mins is enough! This session is for a quick dip and is a bit cheaper to help the pockets.

Aquafit/Aqua Circuits
Aquafit: Wednesdays 6.30pm
Aquacircuits: Fridays 6.30pm
These classes are run by our fun, qualifed instructors who will put you through your paces in our beautiful surroundings. These sessions are great for improving fitness, helping to lose weight, rehabilitaing injuries and boosting your mood.
Suitable for all fitness levels and abilities.
Book a Tennis Court
Sands School very kindly offer their tennis court for hire for the summer holidays to help support the pool through booking fees. The court is a couple of minutes walk from the pool and will be available during the school summer holidays.

Schools, Clubs & Business Hire
Block bookings for schools, clubs and businesses Please contact the pool manager to find out more about block bookings, whatever your organisation.
Private Hire
Family & Freinds Swim (Half Pool) –60 minute swim session. This is for a maximum of 10 people with use of half the pool divided lengthways.
Private Hire – 2 hour – for parties, events, activities. You have use of the whole pool with lifeguards, the kitchen, the field and play area. 2 hours minimum booking.

Booking FAQs
Are there concessions for seniors, pregnant women, low income groups etc in the general swim/lane swims etc?
Please see the description at the top of the page for 2024 prices. You can choose to pay a lower rate for any reason.
Do 5 year olds need to pay to swim
Yes, we charge for children aged 5 year olds.
Can I book two consecutive sessions?
You can book two consecutive sessions (back to back).
What is the maximum number of people at 2 hour Private Hire ?
The maximum number is 40 people, this includes swimmers and non swimmers. .
If the weather is bad do you close the pool and refund the tickets?
We will only close the pool when the weather is unsafe to swim. In that event we will offer transfers or refunds. In the event of the pool needing to close, we will contact you by email or phone.
If we want to hire the whole pool how do we do that?
You can book your session directly on the bookings site but if you have any questions please contact events@ashburtonpool.com who will be happy to help.
Can I book the pool for a party? How many people are allowed for a private hire?
Yes! We offer private hire. You have full use of the pool, garden and kitchen area. There are toilets and changing rooms available. You will be provided two lifeguards to keep you safe. The maximum number of people is 40 which includes non-swimmers. You can pay extra for an additional lifeguard to increase the maximum number to 60.
Private hire can be booked on our online booking system. The pool may be available at alternative times so If you’d like to hire the pool at another time, please email events@ashburtonpool.com and we’ll do our best to help.
Can I book the pool for the same time/session every week (for a group of friends, families or colleagues)?
Yes! If you’d like to book the pool for a regular slot (for swimming lessons, a group of friends, a work health kick or any other reason), we’d love to speak to you and for more than 4 sessions we may be able to offer a discount. Please email events@ashburtonpool.com and we’ll do our best to help.
