Pool Update – May 2026

Local Devon company Isca Pools have been on site for two weeks preparing for the pool liner installation by working on the vacuum (outlet) and pressure (inlet) side of the pipework, and the pool itself. The trustees are confident that the works will be completed in time for us to be able to open on 28th June at the latest. In the meantime, please join us for our fundraising open gardens event on the 17th May…..

Work has started on the pipework and pool surround. This aspect of the work will take approximately 2weeks after which the pool liner can be fitted. Once everything has been tested and signed off as completed, the pool takes around 3-4 weeks to fill

Work will start tomorrow to fix old pipework and line the pool to make it watertight. The pool is 90 years old so it is no wonder that this work needs doing. We are still anticipating that the pool will open at the end of June.

Phase 2 of our work to line the swimming pool and fix leaking pipes will commence at the end of April. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back for the summer season at the end of June. Keep an eye on social media for volunteer dates to get the grounds and pool surroundings ready.

Cat, our manager contributed a phenomenal amount to our community and the Trustees have worked exceptionally hard behind the scenes to keep the pool open and safe. This year has without doubt seen its challenges, so we have all been grateful for the positive messages and great feedback we get from our visitors. Thank you all.
