An unfortunate incident……

Update on planned opening date for Ashburton Pool

The trustees, committee and army of brilliant volunteers have been working hard to get the site ready to open for Sunday 26th May. It is looking fantastic and we couldn't have done it without the amazing support from the local community.

However, one of the most important aspects of getting ready to open is heating the pool and balancing the chemicals used to ensure the water is of the highest quality and, most importantly, safe to swim in. This takes a few weeks and was proceeding well until a few days ago when an unfortunate incident occurred which resulted in some damaged pipework. This is now fixed but we have lost some vital time in ensuring the pool is warm safe and inviting for you .

Sadly, the decision has been made to delay the pool opening. We are all working hard to open during half term and will be assessing the situation daily. We will update our website and social media accordingly.

We will now not be opening on Sunday 26th or Monday 27th of May.

Anyone who had booked into sessions on these days will be emailed and given a credit for those bookings.

This has not been an easy decision and the pool trustees and manager understand there maybe some disappointment, but we hope you understand. We can't wait to welcome you, albeit a few days late.
