Target opening date is 7th May 2022!

This will be subject to all the repairs being completed and the weather being supportive and enabling us to heat the water to a reasonable temperature!

We also have a bit of leak! As you’ll understand losing water is not good for either the environment or our bank balance! We’ve got a professional company visiting at the end of April once the pool is cleaned, refilled and heated to find out what’s causing the leak. If it’s a quick fix we hope to resolve it pre-opening, if it’s something more complicated then hopefully we’ll be able to save that until the end of the season.

How will the pool operate this year?

We’re hoping that the COVID restrictions will continue to be relaxed to enable us to offer more sessions than were possible in 2021.

However, like many open air seasonal pools we struggle to get enough lifeguards. Because of this we will continue with the pre-booking of swim sessions via our online booking system. This helps us to manage the number of slots we can offer with the number of lifeguards we have available. We also won’t be offering memberships this year as we cannot guarantee the number of sessions we will be able to make available and we don’t want anyone to feel that they haven’t received good value for money.

We will be introducing the block purchase of swimming sessions. When you buy 10 sessions as a block you will get 1 free.
