Family Fun Day and Gala - Sunday 28th July 2024

Family Fun Day

Alongside the gala, we have inflatables (zorbing and bouncy castle etc), face painting, kid's lucky dips, brownies, music, bbq and access to our garden for picnics.

At 6pm we will have our pool heroes wall unveiling and then a free swim until 7.30pm. Booking is vital as spaces will go very quickly - book now

Fun Swim Gala

There are several age categories adults and children for a variety of races, including the strokes as well as obstacle course, boat races, float races and more! Family races are open to parents and children too!

All participants get a medal and certificate.

Max. 4 people per race and you can book your spots for £1 on our normal booking site.

Terms and Conditions

  1. There are 4 lanes for each race, so only 4 spots per race

  2. Lengths of races: a. The beginners classes will be half the length and back b. The children’s classes will be one full length c. The adults classes will be 2 lengths

  3. Starting at the deep end can be in the water or via a dive. Shallow end starts are in the water only

4. Start will be ‘Take your marks, Go’ with a whistle

5. A false start will be indicated by a second whistle and the race will be restarted

6. At the end of the race, you will be given a results card with your position on it. You will need to take this to the results table and give you name

7. Relays - all teams consist of 4 swimmers. At the shallow end you must start in the water with 1 foot touching the wall/bottom step. DO NOT GO UNTIL THE INCOMING SWIMMER HAS TOUCHED THE WALL OR STEP OR YOU WIL GET YOUR TEAM DISQUALIFIED

8. The boat race will start at the deep end and you will need to paddle to the shallow end, pick up the other team member and paddle back to the deep end. The finish will be both team members and the boat out of the water

9. The ball race will be swimming with a ball, either in your hand or in front of you

10. The float race will include swimming with an object on the float, which will need to remain on the float for the entirety of the race.

Spectators will be asked to stay away from the poolside on the benches side of the pool. Judges decisions are final.
There will be a prize giving at 6pm for all participants.
