Are there concessions for seniors, pregnant women, low income groups  etc in the general swim/lane swim setc?

This year we are unable to offer memberships; however, if you are a regular swimmer at our pool or require financial support to access our pool, please use our discount codes at the checkout: ‘swim10’ for a 10% discount, or ‘swim20’ for a 20% discount. These codes apply to lane and general swims. If you can pay full price please do as all of our sessions are priced to allow us to sustain our community pool for future seasons.


Can I get a refund or move my booking?

Unfortunately we are unable to offer transfers or refunds.


Do 5 year olds need to pay to swim

Yes, we charge for children aged 5 year olds.


Can I book two consecutive sessions?

You can book two consecutive sessions (back to back) but you will need to purchase a garden session also. This is because you will be asked to exit the pool during the changeover time to allow for cleaning.The Lifeguards may also need to take a mandatory break between sessions.


What is the maximum number of people at 2 hour Private Hire ?

The maximum number is 40 people, this includes swimmers and non swimmers. Please abide by COVID guidelines at the time of your visit.


If the weather is bad do you close the pool and refund the tickets?

We will only close the pool when the weather is unsafe to swim. In that event we will offer transfers or refunds. In the event of the pool needing to close, we will contact you by email or phone.


If we want to hire the whole pool how do we do that?

You can book your session directly on the bookings site but if you have any questions please contact  who will be happy to help.


Can I book the pool for a party? How many people are allowed for a private hire?

Yes! We offer private hire for £120 for 2hrs. You have full use of the pool, garden and kitchen area (there are toilets but the changing rooms are closed this year) and there will be two lifeguards to keep you safe. The maximum number of people is 40 which includes non-swimmers.

Private hire is available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings 7-9pm plus 10am-12pm and 12-2pm. If you’d like to hire the pool at another time, please email and we’ll do our best to help.


Can I book the pool for the same time/session every week (for a group of friends, families or colleagues)?

Yes! If you’d like to book the pool for a regular slot (for swimming lessons, a group of friends, a work health kick or any other reason), we’d love to speak to you and for more than 4 sessions we may be able to offer a discount. Please email and we’ll do our best to help.





How early do I need to arrive for my session?

Please arrive at the pool 5 minutes early, pool ready. Your 45 minutes starts from your booking time.


Can I watch my child whilst they swim & do I need to buy a ticket?

You can watch your child swim from the garden, unfortunately this year as numbers are restricted due to COVID you cannot sit on the poolside. You will need to purchase a Garden ticket. A garden ticket allows up to 6 people to use the area.


If I book a garden entry and general swim, can the kids come in and out to the garden?

Yes they can, but they need to be either in the pool or in the garden area. They cannot be poolside.


What are the rules on supervising children?

A responsible adult 16+ may bring 2 children under the age of 8 into the pool, with any under 4s wearing an attached buoyancy aid. The adult must be in the water with the children at all times. Where under 4s are not wearing an attached buoyancy aid, the ratio is 1:1 because the shallow end is 0.7metres deep.


Where do I get changed?

This year the changing rooms are closed and you will need to arrive “pool ready” please. You may leave your towels and belongings under the large canopy at the end of the pool. The toilets will be open. When booking half the pool a dedicated ‘changing area’ will be available.


Can I buy a drink or a snack?

Sadly we do not anticipate opening the café this year so it won’t be possible to buy a drink or a snack.


Can I bring a picnic?

You are very welcome to bring a picnic but you will need to book a Garden Session please. Please no glass or alcoholic beverages. All food needs to be consumed within your booking time.




Can I bring children to Lane Swimming Sessions?

The minimum age is 12 years and the child will need to be a competent swimmer.


How is the pool divided in the Family & Friends Session

The pool is divided lengthwise with a rope.


Are there going to be any swimming lessons this year?

This year we’ll only have the sessions that are listed on our website. This means that we won’t be offering swimming lessons. However, you can organise your own swimming lessons by booking a “friends and family ½ pool hire” and arranging for your own teacher to join you. For regular bookings (more than 4 sessions), we may be able to offer you your own regular time slot. For more information email .


Are you doing full moon swims this year?

This year we’ll only have the events that are listed on our website. This means that we won’t be organising full moon swims or other one-off events. However, if you’d like to organise an evening for friends (or raise money for charity), the full moon dates this summer are Thurs 24th June, Sat 24th July and Sun 22nd Aug and on each of these evenings, we have private hire available (£120 for 2hrs and up to 40 people). You are welcome to book one of these slots and use it to organise your own full moon swim. If you’re interested, please email for more information.




What temperature is the pool?

The pool is usually between 27 and 30 degrees.


Do you have toys and inflatables at the pool to use?

No we don’t due to COVID and the cleaning that would be required. You are welcome to bring small inflatables and toys with you, but please be guided by the instructions from our lifeguards.


My child is under 8 but deemed a confident swimmer can I pay for a garden entry or do I need to be in the pool?

All children under 8 need to be accompanied in the pool by a responsible person Aged 16 or older.


Can I bring my dog to the pool?

We’re sorry we cannot accommodate dogs at the pool.


Is there still a used shoe collection at the pool?

No, we are no longer collecting shoes.
